Food Shopping
Recently I acquired a copy of the Runner’s World: Complete Guide to Nutrition. While browsing through the pages a line near the introduction hit me hard(it was actually more like a bitch slap). “Exercise alone will not get you to where you want to be.” Since 2012 is a big year of change for me, I’ve decided to address my dietary habits to see if they closely align with my athletic goals. After scouring through my new Bible of sorts, I was puzzled when I was unable to locate neither Ellios Pizza or Oreos…surely these two post-collegiate favorites had to be in there somewhere…but alas they weren’t. So sadly I had to accept the reality that was so blatantly staring me in my dreamy crystalesque green eyes…I ate poorly. Now I find myself preparing for my first ever health outing to the grocery store. The list that I’ve created seems as though it may have been penned in another language. Regardless of my cravings I plan on putting in a significant amount of effort into this endeavor…who knows maybe I’ll actually cook something half decent one day.
