There’s a certain level of excitement that comes from marching into the NYRR headquarters and picking up a bib for race day. To see the masses, donned in everyday clothing, filtering out with packets in tote always bring a smirk to my face; come race day they’ll be decked out, head to toe, in spandex with a gleam of determination in their eyes. This race is my first in the city of New York so it will certainly hold a special place in my heart. Regardless of the elements tomorrow will be a glorious day and I am ever so thankful to have legs that are strong enough to carry me these distances. To all of the runners braving the snow I am proud of you and thank you for motivating me to continually challenge and better myself. And to Aunt Florence, this one is for you.
